I know we all try to be on as much as we can, but pending real life / other stuff etc it makes it impossible to meet up regular for games practice etc. I wondered what you all thought about developing either a Quakenet #DMCpickup channel. Or a 'Weekend Match' thread in the forum?
Either one is a possibility, I myself prefer the idea of the pickup channel. I wouldn't want this to distract from people idling in #hldmc, but I see it as a step forward in encouraging a little more 1 vs 1 action.
What do you think? |

| There seems to be a regular 20 or so idling in #hldmc, but most don't seem to play much. I think you would probably get a better response using a thread in the forum. You are likely to catch a lot more people, especially those new to dmc. Also its easier to keep in touch with whats going on / coming off using a forum thread. |

yeah
a regular meetup has been talked over for ages but never quite come off.it would be great to have some type of regular meetup.
the site gets a lot of hits a day,i see a lot of regulars signed in throughout the week so a "weekend "forum post would definately reach a lot of the community.

Thats cool then  If the Mods on the forum could call it the 'Weekend Matches' thread make it a sticky thread and then the mods can change the title of the thread each week so for this weekend it would be....
Weekend Matches 15/16th Nov
People can reply to this as and when during the week with maps and times specified etc.
Or you can delete the thread and add a new one each week? But it would be cool to have it there always and just update the thread title to reflect the current weekend. I dunno which you lot would prefer to do?
Just ideas I hope I'm not teaching you guys how to suck eggs  |
