I have just uploaded new video to my youtube account. This time FFA game. As with all my videos there is none of this 'highlights' stuff... 'frag highlights' and such.. with my video you get the full match.

The video is split into 2 parts, once the first part is finished you can watch the second part by clicking the video response.
This is once more a music video. There is quite a bit of action since this is a FFA on DMZ2. There are a good number of opponents, although I only know OG_Fireball and OG_No-Limit from this match. (hey guys ^^)
I know the quality sucks, I have a poor system. Click 'watch in high quality' next to the rating to improve the quality a bit. Yes I have high ping in this game, I know, it was the first FFA demo I frapsed and decided to use the footage, mainly because when I was watching it back it was entertaining to see Fireball and No-limit.. If you don't like the music, I don't care, listen to your own.
Hope you enjoy. Regardless of positive or negative feedback there will be more of these music videos. |

| sorry but I don't find your videos really interesting. Quality is poor, and the frags and actions are repetitive. I think .dem are more interesting in this case. |

Nice vid!!!!quality kinda sucked but good job man...only thing that could make that better is a few more closeups on ME!

What you have to do in ffa is running around the map to take all the strong items, and of course killing people during your running and taking ammos/health. A FFA game can during 20 min so there nothing extraordinary to see the same serie of actions many times. See a complete duel is interesting, but not a average FFA game. You don't ever take the best actions or best views (not a frag movie in brief).
The next time if you still with ffa demo, maybe try to delete the boring passage, made better quality, and made the music more in line with the game.
btw I have see a lot of ffa game so you need a bit more to catch my attention |

Hey I never asked for opinions. It was just to share for bit of fun.
I don't ever take the best actions, I know, maybe I wasn't making the movie to appeal to you.. it was no ownage or nothing I had like 3.5 kills per death or something. It was actually the first ffa I frapsed and when I started recording I had no idea what was coming up. I didn't even look at other games I have.. so there will be more. I already said play your own music if you don't like it and plenty of warning about bad quality... this video is particularly bad quality but it looks ok in youtube small view with 'high quality' on.
So... no advice taken.

That was a fun match Tayste keep them coming!!
Some people like ffa some don't so if you don't like ffa don't watch it or play it, that's your choice to make.
Nothing can match the excitement of playing with 6+ high quality players all at the same time in ffa. Those matches don't happen as much as they use to but when they do it is what DMC is all about to me.

I don't want to sound closed minded or arrogant or whatever saying I not taking that advice.. It is NOT that I cannot take critisism. The difference here is that I never claimed anywhere that..
a.) there was anything extraordinary to see
b.) that it was interesting
c.) that it was a frag, movement, action or whatever movie.
In fact I did not claim anything about the video, not that it is good or bad, that the music fits with the gameplay, nothing. So when you post your list of dissapointments.. its like.. eh... well I didn't say it was? I am sorry to hear expectations weren't met but I don't want to hear you say there was nothing interesting, having spent some time making it, since I never said there was.
The only thing I claimed was that the match had quite a bit of action, a good number of opponents and that I had high ping. (higher than what I am used to playing with). I also claimed that it was vocal trance music, that it lasts 15 minutes and that the quality is poor.
I understand you did not enjoy this video, I am sorry to hear it, but I don't know how I could have warned you not to watch it, if you felt it was a waste of your time. In the end it is your choise to watch. I expected some opinions like yours, since I shared some of the same opinions as you before I uploaded.. although personally I found it interesting at the very least since it was evenly matched, maybe 4 frags between the top 3 positions? I was getting gibbed left right and center? Other players were getting gibbed left right and center? Maybe you are just bored with this game period.
Well anyway I had some similar opinions to you but I uploaded anyway because you need to respect that what you or I find uninteresting or boring might be interesting or exciting or enlightening for others, and I like to share knowledge, music and try to get entertainment for majority of the views.
There is not much video content of DMC to be found, so im adding my bit the best quality I can get... and I do say best quality I can get, and have said this all the time.. if you gonna post some suggestions at least give them a bit of thought before you post.. use some common sense.
My personal reasons was so I could have some of my games as collection, like I have something to remember from playing this game once it is extinct from my life. .dem are much better, but no one watches .dem, and people that do not have the game installed cannot watch .dem, nor can I when I am at my mates house for example. I have tons of them in my DMC folder but I doubt I will be in a position to load up a game in 30 years time to remind me of the good old days with DMC.... I have plenty of .dem games that are only a few years old yet no longer work because of updates.
I am VERY much interested in music, I spend more time with music than DMC, so I combine the 2 for my own entertainment.. the songs aren't meant to fit with the gameplay, in fact I thought nothing of fitting it with the gameplay.. they are simply 2 songs that have had a big impact in my life recently. it is my video, so therefore I have the right to say that there is no music that exists that would fit to this game better. Its a ridiculous statement but I feel like making it.

The first sentance would suggest you find watching FFA boring, since there is nothing extraordinary to see the same series of actions many times.. So why have you been watching a lot of FFA games if you find this kind of consistent actions boring to watch? Personally i've seen maybe 2 or 3... I never watch FFA I just play it. I care not to catch your attention, in fact I would deter you from watching any more of what I upload in future since your expectations are higher than what you have already seen, even without hyping the video to get your expectations up to begin with. Higher than what you have already seen should be impossible, in my case anyway, there is nothing I haven't seen, and nothing new to show people in DMC, so for me a game is either fun, action and good manners... boring, quiet and uneventful or frustrating, stressful and full of abuse. I hoped that this game was the first of those 3.
mmm... this particular server runs 15 minute timelimit, as was this game, since no one hit 75 frags, and also you will find most DMC FFA servers have 15 minute timelimit. In QW I played on some servers ranging from 8-12 minutes, but I just don't see this in DMC. |

Actual videos are great, esp for new players. Most of the DMC videos on youtube seem to be a CS player that thinks it is wise to use the SG and get in my way |

I found your first post funny, it made me chuckle, I thought it was somewhat of a joke, but then the next was just spite and no use at all, which surprised me. For example poor quality but no tips on how to improve it? You have experience in squeezing quality out of video? Well I don't so goddamn enlighten me.. otherwise its just silly to mention it.
We are in a small community so it is rewarding for me to post video of close matchup with players that come to this forum regular..
I see what you say mfrx... and to think I just sit and listened to his 30 ping disadvantage whines and mid-duel "i got no sound".
I give any player the benefit of the doubt but now just can't take u seriously.. You have never played consistently vs me, more like once in a blue moon, so its ironic that it is you of all people, one of the weaker challenges, complaining that the video gets has repetitive actions.. uhh, I think it is nicer to watch repetitive consistent actions than consistently failing! 
Funny how <3 you Huntil can go to ..|. you Huntil in 1 day. Woh
And crazy that making a video and putting thought into avoiding any possible argument in the making of it, ended up result in getting spat on anyway.
Oh well it was positive feedback from the players in this video, and that was what I was hoping for.
I will keep doing vids how I do them and try to get as many friendly faces in as I can get good games out of =)

For compressing videos for youtube, I've had really good results using Sorenson Squeeze - http://www.sorensonmedia.com/
It's a bit expensive, but there's a free trial version available for download. Don't know what restrictions the trial has, but might be worth a look. |
