If you are experiencing a bug which means that when you change mode, then map, it changes back to FFA, read on.
(OG_Fireball - this happens on East Coast, dont know about others. Uncle - you too.)
I cant remember what he problem is but the solution is to download the latest mode.cfg files from here: http://mfrx.kicks-ass.net/files/7/h4xx0 ... ry176.aspx
Make a backup copy of your dmc/modes directory (in case you have made any changes) and replace it with the contents of the zip you just downloaded.

Offtopic but I can't wait to have some free time to mess with DMC.. its been about 3 weeks of non stop 'life'...... I guess it was mfrx 'Have fun' ending to his post that influenced this post..

| Good job mr. fx.....thanks for the help by the way now i can duel uncle in the united states,and not at haxors where i get owned.....And i can change the map ....lol |

I replaced the files posted here and the server still does the same thing.
Any ideas?

Well I have done some looking and testing here is what I have found.
The OG server works fine and it has a dmc.dll last modified 3-26-06 and the East Coast server that does not work in 1on1 has a dmc.dll last modified 1-13-06.
I thought cool I will just copy the dll from the OG server and paste it on the East Coast server, but when I do this the east coast server will not run. From the C panel it shows running but in HLSW it is timed out and does not show in the server list. So I had to put the old dll back on and it runs fine but will not work in 1on1.
Any ideas why this newest dll will not run on that server? Do you think it might be something with the bots?

err good luck mate, not getting owned by Uncle.. youch
The times I didn't get owned by uncle require much concentration, almost painfully so!!.. something I tried also and you should try at home, is to not get owned by Uncle whilst ALSO MANAGING TO NOT LET YOUR FINGERS CATCH ON FIRE!!!!.. now that is hard.. I must admit this is the toughest thing, never again will I play him again without a cool bowl of water next to my keyboard. ^^
At least if you play him on dm2 you can cool off in the water! |
