You guys could try FreeFall2, it's running on a dual Athlon MP 2800+ machine with 4 gig ram as of a week or so ago. Custom built 2.6.x Linux kernel (by me). Half a T-1 upload.
I would be happy to tweak the settings/map cycle to whatever you like (except DMZ).

A couple of maps that I like that don't get enough play are painkiller and ztndm2 (but only with the annoying 'Converted by Butchski' text removed).
I'm not a big fan of rocketride or bloodcore.
Anyone else like/dislike these maps? |

It pretty much already has a rotation like that, except I throw in a custom map once in a while.
Anything else (except DMZ) are votable.

| the idea of having a stock map rotation isnt half bad, but 10 minute rounds is ludicrous. the match would go by so fast, and you may show up when theres like 1 minute left and that always sucks. fraglimit is funner, with a timelimit of (at the very least) 15 minutes |

It has had a 15 minute rotation for a long time, frag limit is way up there though.
The rotation is like this: stockmap, stockmap, stockmap, stockmap, custommap. Rinse and repeat.

a almost default server with a few nice customs thrown in ,but only a couple ,is always a good thing to find these days.too many server with wierd stuff on now,,like that damn map vote plugin that noone ever votes on,i hate it.
dive,,have u ever thought of changing the server name ?
freefall ffa in big letters !! would pull in more new players.
i know ure used to the name system u have but it could do the job, maybe.all the oldtimers know it,s dmq, just make the header more basic to be "noob" friendly.
ive always believed that the master ,both of them did so well because they picked up all the occasional traffic ,not just the dmc players..,,just an idea.hehe u might not like it tho.

Dirk,
I actually have thought about changing the names around, it is a good idea. I do see a lot of players on there from Europe early in the morning here, they don't seem to mind the 200ish pings |
