yeh heh, after more than 3 and a half years (of denial!) i don't think im in a rush to go anywhere. What i will say is that im new to textures and stuff, and it excites me a lot that you can change dm4 like that. I've never used simple textures but i would really want detail textures because i always want eye candy when i play.. heh heh, i love quake so much now since i got the 24 texture sets (omg aerowalk looks so sexy) and i want to play more if the maps look hot. (i don't believe simple textures make you play 'better' at all).
After all this time ive had the same dmc textures and models, and what also amazes me is what Pix achieved in no time at all. He is amazing to have coded QW bunnhopping with DMQ, (altho he will modestly deny being amazing) in such a short space of time. Makes me think 'oh WangMauler, where are u??' ;]
I fully appreciate the work you are contributing to the community Pix it sounds awesome.. Myself im looking forward to DMC eventually being 'complete' (a mod to cover all of our needs used on all servers). Im not going anywhere, its just a matter of time. |

hi
this is as finished as it,s going to be unless i get feedback saying it,s worth doing anything else too.i have simple spent too many hours staring at texture files.
i,ll get it uploaded tonight.
i have no idea how to implement moving skies.these are just a couple of custom sky boxes in use myself so i,ll chuck them in the zip file.

you don't. unfortunately they don't work in the hl game engine. the sky texture is called 'sky' and is located in the halflife.wad. u can only change the name of the sky by using the worldspawn 'skyname' thing, but those groovy 2 texture moving skies from quake don't work right with dmc.
sorry |
